Direct answer

Yes, someone can tour the apartment for you.

When you are moving to New York from another state or country, you do not have to commit based on listing photos alone. You arrange a legitimate showing with the broker, owner or property manager. Gander attends that appointment as your independent local viewer and documents the apartment for you.

01 · You schedule

Confirm the showing

You coordinate the date and time directly with the listing contact. Gander does not represent the landlord or arrange the appointment.

02 · We attend

Your Gander goes

A local viewer meets the listing contact, records the unit and focuses on the details and concerns you submitted.

03 · You receive

Evidence, not a sales pitch

You receive interior and exterior photos, walkthrough video, neighborhood footage and a written field report.

What we look at

The parts of an apartment a listing cannot explain.

The goal is not to make the apartment look beautiful. It is to show you what it feels like to move through the space and record details you would check if you were standing there.

Independent documentation changes the tour.

A broker can provide useful information, but the listing side is trying to complete a rental. Gander’s job is simply to document the showing for the person who cannot attend.

Common questions

Before you book.

Does Gander schedule the apartment showing?

Yes. The booking flow includes a field for concerns such as train noise, smoke, bedroom measurements, natural light, water pressure or anything else important to you.

Is this a licensed home inspection?
